Blogger Meets Live Journal
Won't work unless I pay $19.95 to upgrade to a paid account. Or I get so popular that LJ syndicates as a public service. ;)

Ed and Marce have solved this challenge by posting a link to their blogs from their LJ accounts, but they could also do solve the problem by cutting and pasting blogger posts to LJ accounts.

But the link never has to be updated. And I like the blogger formats much, much, much more than the LJ formats.

I posted a link from my LJ to LIFL. Quick and painless. No maintenance required. And I get to login to LJ and check in with some friends without having to worry about whether or not I remembered to sign my name when I post a comment.

Yeah. What Lara said. Though LJ does have some cool features, like filtering posts and the nifty icons and such. At some point I will probably have to consider something other than blogger, just because it's getting a bit ponderous with all my publication credits listed down the side. Maybe when I'm a best-selling author and can afford to pay some computer whiz to make me a cool website of my own, heh.

Are you in or near a college town, Marcy? If so, check into any IS type of classes that may require students to complete outside projects. As I understand it, here at IU there are several classes that require students to seek out projects that will force them to apply the tech stuff that they're learning, and sometimes they have a hard time finding enough businesses or individuals to volunteer to work with the students.

That's a good idea, Lara...we do have a satellite campus for Arizona State here. I'll look into that.

Now back to your regularly scheduled blog. ;)

I know. :) You'll have to run a private session come GenCon.

"Someone needs to develop a little script/program that allows a person to simultaneously update blogs on two or three different providers. The non-compatibility is irritating."

I was just thinking that, too. A little blog-bot for those of us that don't have the time to hop back and forth.
