Flashback: Overkill
There was a lawn-sized cake, thousands of candles, and I took my security role very seriously. (That's actually a cake at my foot. Vanquished cake, I should say.)

Goodman Games East and company departed an hour ago...
The game ended in the final chamber of the demi-lich Acererak, with the last standing character snapping a staff of power in half ... triggering a retributive strike inside a 10 x 10 mithril vault. And that's about the best damn ending a DM could want. :)
